The photochemical reactor is used to carry out a photochemical reaction, water splitting, and photochlorination reaction. The reaction takes place in the presence of photon and catalyst. Hence it is called as photocatalysis reaction or photochemical reaction. The reactor is also known as the photocatalytic reactor. The photochemical reactors complete setup includes triple jacketed immersion well, medium and high-pressure mercury lamp, lamp power supply, a chiller for cold water circulation, safety cabinet and magnetic stirrer.
1. TOPT-II used as liquid photochemical reactor, have several volume to choose: 250ml, 500ml, 1000ml, 2000ml, 3000ml, 5000ml. there are three opening port: gas inlet, temperature measure, sample inlet. Any other specifications can be customized.
2. TOPT-V are most suitable for university teaching and academic research, with small capacity: 30ml, 50m l, 100ml, 150ml, equip with silicone stopper. Temperature measure &control, gas inlet, gas outlet, sampling valve customization are available.
Our Photochemical reactor work at optimum efficiency & consume minimum energy.
• Start with gathering all the items you require for your experiment.
• Initially, you need to fill water in the chiller tank and switch on the chiller for water cooling.
• Take the magnetic stirrer, place it in the cabinet, and connect it to the electrical connections.
• Then, we need to place a magnetic needle bar into the reactor.
• Pour the photosensitive chemical or photocatalyst into the outer borosilicate vessel.
• Out of three-ports at the outer vessel, use one of them to take out the liquid sample and another for the thermocouple. Else, let it be close tightly to avoid any leakage.
• Attach the silicone tubes of water inlet and outlet to the double-walled inner quartz immersion well, and then start the chiller pump.
• Place the lamp (mercury or xenon light) inside the reactor and make proper connections.
• Shut the door and lock it correctly with the key. The light source does not start unless you do this step.
• Once the water inlet temperature reaches its set level, start the lamp either manually or by the timer.
